Empowering Women:
Restoring Dignity and Building a Future

God calls us to lift up the vulnerable, and one of the greatest needs in Burundi today is empowering women—not only economically but also spiritually. Many women, especially in rural areas, struggle with extreme poverty, lack of education, and limited opportunities. Without support, they remain trapped in hardship, unable to provide for their families or contribute fully to their communities.

Africa, my wife, is committed to working with these women, helping them grow through economic projects that provide sustainability and dignity. Through training, mentorship, and small business opportunities, these women will gain the tools to support themselves while also deepening their faith in Christ. True empowerment comes when a woman understands her God-given value and potential, and our goal is to walk alongside them as they build a better future for themselves and their families.

This work is not just about finances—it’s about restoring dignity, renewing hope, and strengthening faith. As Proverbs 31:25 says, “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” Our prayer is that every woman we support will stand strong, knowing she is loved, capable, and created for a purpose.

Afirca is already working with Living and Learning Community in Kenya and Burundi, helping women understand these topics in a way that aligns with both faith and truth.

Our approach is simple: one family at a time. We know that true change happens not just through large programs, but through deep, personal connections. Every teenager who finds guidance, every young girl who chooses hope instead of fear, every family who learns to support their children—these are the victories that will shape Burundi’s future.
